In the summer of 2003 the line between Middelfart and Aarup was renewed, and this year 2004 it is the line between Aarup and Odense that is going to be renewed. The work began mid-June and is expected to end in August.
The work was speeded up after the derailing of an IC 3 train in Tommerup on the 21st of February which luckely only caused materiel damage
The work was done by SPITZKE AG which means foreigen railwaymateriel e.g . V 100, GM locomotives from Lemvig railway (VLTJ) MY 28 and West Sealands local railways (VL) MY 105.
