Danish State Railways have ordered 13 electric locomotives from SIEMENS and Krauss Maffel. Type EG is Europes most powerful locomotive and is able to drive from Sweden to the far south of Germany on different voltage (25 kV- 15 kV ) and frequency (50 Hz - 16,7 Hz). Type EG has 8800 HP and is able to pull 2000 ton.
